Opened 20 Oct 1924 as "Teatro Fontalba" with Jacinto Benavente's opera "La verdad sospechosa". Ca. 1936 renamed " Teatro Popular". Ca. 1940 renamed "Teatro Fontalba". 1400 seats. Closed 1954.
