Built 1873-1874 as "Stadttheater" for the city of Eger by Karel Haberzettl (after designs by Vinzenz Prökl), funded by benefit balls and lotteries. Opened 3 October 1874 with Schiller's "Wallensteins Lager" and "Wallensteins Tod". Ca. 1000 seats.
