[3rd theatre built 1852 as "Theatro São Pedro de Alcântara". Opened 18 Aug 1852 with "O livro negro". Destroyed by fire on 27 Jan 1856.]

4th theatre built 1856-1857 as "Theatro São Pedro de Alcântara". Opened 3 Jan 1857 with "Affonso Prieto". 1916 rebuildings. On 24 Aug 1923 renamed "Teatro João Caetano". Demolished in 1929 in favour of a new theatre building.
