Reverse Text: "'The Birthplace of Ragtime'. Sedalia, Missouri. Scott Joplin - The King of Ragtime - moved from Texas to Sedalia in 1893. He studied music and composition at the George R. Smith College. Here he lived and worked, composing 'The Ragtime Dance' and 'The Maple Leaf Rag'. Stained glass window is from the Maple Leaf Club where he performed, and a U.S. postage stamp was issued in his honor in 1983."
