Built 1909 by G. Albert Lansburgh and Bernard J. Joseph on the site of the first "Orpheum Theatre" (1887-1906; a second "Orpheum Theatre" had opened in 1907 on Ellis Street and was renamed "Garrick Theatre" in 1909). Opened 19 Apr 1909 as "Orpheum Theatre" (the 3rd of that name), used for vaudeville. Closed 27 June 1927. Subsequently rebuilding, re-opened 10 Mar 1930 as "Minski's Columbia Theatre", used for burlesque. Closed 1938. Subsequently demolished in favour of a parking garage.
