Named in honour of the American actress and philanthropist, Vivian Beaumont (1885-1962) who helped fund the theatre. 1164 seats. 2012 amended by the "Claire Tow Theater" (by Hugh Hardy / H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture), a studio theatre with 112 seats sitting on the roof of Saarinen's building.
