Performing arts centre, built by Cesar Pelli, replacing the "Civic Center" (opened 1980). The complex incorporate the existing Capitol Theater and the facade of Yost's Department Store. Opened 2004.

The complex contains:

  • Overture Hall (2255 seats), a theatre and concert hall with a pipe organ by Orgelbau Klais. Home to Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Opera and Madison Ballet.
  • Capitol Theater (1089 seats), built 1928 as a theatre and cinema, later renamed Oscar Mayer Theater, incorparated into the new center again as Capitol Theater
  • The Playhouse (347 seats)
  • Promenade Hall (252 seasts)
  • Rotunda Stage (350 seats)
  • four art galleries
