Country: United States of America State: Ohio City: Lorain Location: 375 Broadway Opened 1907 as "Majestic Theatre". 1350 seats. 1913 renamed "Lorain Opera House". Also used as a cinema. 1918 rebuilt and renamed "New Lorain Opera House". 1922 rebuilt and reopened as "State Theatre". Destroyed by a tornado on 28 June 1924 when a neighbouring building collapsed onto the theatre, leaving 15 people dead. Remains demolished in favour of the "Broadway Block" building.
