Country: United States of America State: New Hampshire City: Glendale Location: junction of Route 11 and Route 11B 18th- or 19th-century barn, purchased in 1949 by Alton Wilkes, a drama teacher at the University of Connecticut. Converted in to a theatre and opened 3 July 1950 as "Lake Region Playhouse". Used as a summer theatre. 1970 renamed "Gilford Playhouse". 1976 renamed "Lake Region Playhouse" again. Closed 1982.
