Country: United States of America State: Georgia City: Atlanta Location: 660 Peachtree Street NE / Ponce de Leon Avenue Built 1925 in Moorish revival and Egyptian revival style as part of the "Yaarab Temple Shrine Mosque" complex. 1929 converted into a theatre and cinema, opened 25 Dec 1929 as "Fox Theatre" with the film "Salute" and a stage show. Closed 1973. 1975 saved from demolition by a non-profit group. Subsequently restored and re-opened as a performing arts centre. The building contains the main hall (4665 seats) and two ballrooms.
