Built 1956-1859 by Gateano Bertolotti as a circus building and hippodrome. Opened 1859 as "Regio Ippodromo Vittorio Emanuele II". Later renamed "Teatro Vittorio Emanuele". 1901, 1910 and 1926 rebuildings. 1952 purchased by the national radio service RAI. Major rebuilding by Aldo Morbelli. Reopened 16 Dec 1952 as a concert hall named "Auditorium RAI". 2005-2006 and 2019 renovations. 2007 renamed "Auditorium RAI Arturo Toscanini" in honour of the Italian conductor, Arturo Toscanini (1867-1857). 1616 seats.
