Multi-purpose hall and congress center, built 1956-1968 by Heinz Laubach on the site of the former Stadthalle (destroyed by bombs in 1945). Opened 9 Nov 1968. 2006-2007 major rebuilding by Dissing + Weitling. The complex includes the Kongress-Saal (up to 2.400 seats), the Gutenbergsaal (up to 1.260 seats) and several smaller congress halls.
