Dialect comedy theatre, opened 16 Oct 1936 with the comedy "Mädchen für alles" in the former "Coloniasäle" ballrooms. Home to the Millowitsch family troupe. Venue of the first theatre performance broadcast live on German TV on 27 Oct 1953 (with more than 100 other broadcasts to follow). 2015 major renovation. Reopened as "Volksbühne am Rudolfplatz". 402 seats. Closed 2018.
