Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Sachsen-Anhalt City: Halle (Saale) Location: Christian-Wolff-Straße 2 / Leipziger Straße (Klement-Gottwald-Straße) Built 1339-1510 as church of a Servite monastery. From 1531 used as a protestant parish church. Closed 1971. 1976 converted into a concert hall (500 seats) and named "Konzerthalle am Boulevard". Later renamed "Konzerthalle Ulrichskirche". The hall contains a 1675 organ prospect by Förner on the organ loft, and a 1980 concert organ (III/P 56) by W. Sauer Orgelbau in the apse. Links: www.halle.de, Wikipedia |
