Built 1963 by Herbert Rimpl as "Aula der Staatlichen Ingenieurschule Gauß", an auditorium and multi-purpose hall of an engineering school (later known as "Beuth Hochschule"). Later renamed "Max-Beckmann-Saal" in honour of the German painter, Max Beckmann (1884-1950). Since 2003 home to the "Musiktheater Atze", a children's and youth musical theatre company. The complex contains a main theatre hall (480 seats) and a studio theatre (150 seats).
