Country: France Region: Grand Est (Alsace) Department: Bas-Rhin City: Strasbourg (Straßburg) Location: 5, rue Sellénick (Sankt-Julian-Straße) / 2-4, rue de Phalsbourg / 34, boulevard Clemenceau Concert and multi-purpose hall, built 1903 by Joseph Müller and Richard Kuder as "Sängerhaus" for the male choral society "Männergesangsverein Straßburg". Opened 31 Jan 1903. 1904 extenstions. 1909 installation of a pipe organ by Dalstein-Haerpfer. 1918 renamed "Palais des Fêtes". 1921 extension by the "Salle de la Marseillaise" by Paul Dopff. 1933 interior rebuilding. Until 1975, home to the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg. Currently used for concerts and various events. Marseillaise wing used as "Centre chorégraphique de la ville de Strasbourg".
