Opened 24 Oct 1964 as "Centre culturel Albert Schweitzer", named after the German-French theologian, physician, organist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965). 2007 renamed after the French mime, Marcel Marceau (1923-2007).
