Built 1830, replacing the Théâtre de l'Ambigu (destroyed by fire in 1827). Opened 22 Jan 1831. Closed 1862. Subsquently demolished for the extension of Place de la République. The company moved to a new Théâtre des Folies-Dramatiques on Rue de Bondy.
