Built 1828 by Jean-François-Joseph Lecointe as a successor to the first "Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique" at another site on Boulevard du Temple that had burnt down in 1827. Opened 7 June 1828. Used as a cinema in the 1920s. 1954 reopened as "Théâtre de l'Ambigu". Demolished 1966.
