Built 1885-1886. Opened 5 Oct 1886. Destroyed by a fire in 1949. Rebuilt in 1967. 1974 interior alterations. 600 seats. Demolished in favour of a hotel ("Hotel Mercure Cholet Centre") and bookstore ("Le Passage Culturel"), while preserving the façades of the entrance wing of the theatre.
