Opened 3 Feb 1967 in a market hall dating from 1930. 490 seats. Named in honour of the French actor, Firmin Gémier (1865-1933). Demolished after asbestos was found during a rebuilding in 2011. Subsequently a new theatre was built (to be opened in 2019).
