Country: Estonia (Eesti) City: Tartu (Derpt, Dorpat, Yuryev) Location: Vanemuise tänav Built 1906 by Armas Eliel Lindgren as a successor to the first Teater Vanemuine (opened 1870 at another site, destroyed by fire in 1903). Named after Vanemuine, the god of song in ancient Estonain mythology. Destroyed by acts of war in 1944. |
