Front Text: "The Ancient Theatre of Salamis, Cyprus" Reverse Text: "Salamis: The Ancient Theatre was excavated early in 1960 by the Dept. of Antiquities, Cyprus. It is the largest theatre so far found in Cyprus, befitting the importance and splendour of ancient Salamis, the diameter of the semi-circular orchestra is about 90 feet (27.5 m.). The length of the diameter being the criterion for the size of a theatre, it may therefore be one of the largest ever found in other ancient countries of the Mediterranean.
